In a letter addressed to the missionaries of the Denver South Mission, President Floyd gave the following guidelines concerning dinners in a member's home:
1.) The missionaries can eat in members' homes any day of the week but cannot eat with the same family more than one time per week.
2.) The missionaries cannot spend more than 1 hour with the family for dinner.
3.) The missionaries are to offer an "exceptional message" with the family as part of the dinner.

Families and Individuals
Prepare: Pray for God's help every day to find opportunities to do service, share a message, or invite others to Christ, and to stand as His witness in all things and in all places.
Love: Seek new opportunities to love, serve, and fellowship others, especially individuals who attend ward meetings or activities, or who are unfamiliar to you.
Share: Share church videos, music, images, and/or your testimony of restored truths and saving ordinances, in- person or via email, text, or social media.
Invite: Meet regularly with the missionaries, consider inviting friends to join. Invite others to family or ward activities, to church, or to participate in service projects with you.
Ward Auxiliaries
Prepare: Teach the simple truths of the restored gospel with a focus on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s love for each of us.
Love: Get to know each member of your auxiliary and show a genuine interest in his/her interests, background and struggles.
Share: Provide forums to share missionary experiences in quorums and classes and via newsletters, e-mail, etc.
Invite: Provide normal and natural opportunities for members to invite, involve and fellowship with friends (social activities, gospel study, service, etc.)
Full-time and Ward Missionaries
Prepare: Coordinate missionary activities with the families and auxiliaries in the ward and prayerfully consider ways to support their efforts.
Love: Befriend those whom the missionaries are teaching including less active members, new members or individuals learning for the first time.
Share: Teach restored truths and bring people to Christ through the saving ordinance of baptism.
Invite: Encourage families to participate in ward activities and to invite their friends and neighbors to come with them.
